Clive Anderson provides leadership and oversight to the legal and compliance areas in support of Manulife Singapore's life insurance and asset management businesses. In addition, he also holds a regional appointment providing oversight and support to Manulife's legal and compliance teams in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

In 2007, Clive joined Individual Wealth Management, Canadian Division, as Vice-President and Chief Counsel, Individual Wealth Management. He was responsible for oversight of all legal and compliance issues for Manulife's sizable Canadian wealth management business, which encompasses Manulife Investments, Manulife Bank and Manulife Securities.

Prior to that, he was a member of the Corporate Law Department for four years, where he was an Assistant Vice-President & Senior Counsel, focusing on supporting Manulife's substantial information systems area. For his outstanding work in this area, Clive won a STAR of Excellence award in 2006.

Before joining Manulife, Clive also worked in private practice and in an in-house legal role for another large Canadian financial services company.

Clive is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto and of Acadia University and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

He has been actively involved in community service, sitting as a member of the Advisory Board for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, acting as the Chairperson for Nu Generations Youth & Arts Group, a charitable non-profit organization serving the needs of our inner city youth in Toronto and on the Alumni Board of Directors for Acadia University.
