Worldwide Life Insurance Partner of the Olympic Games

The newly activated sponsorship for parent company Manulife Financial arose out of the worldwide agreement that John Hancock has had in place with the International Olympic Committee, since 1994, which Manulife acquired as a result of its April 2004 merger with Boston-based John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. The sponsorship will continue through the end of 2008.

The Company's Olympic sponsorship demonstrates not only our leadership in the industry, but also our dedication to the standards of excellence exemplified by the Olympic Games. Launch of Scholarship Scheme at Singapore Sports School

In tandem with Manulife Financial's status as the Exclusive and Official Life Insurance Partner of the Olympic Games supporting the Olympic Movement around the world, Manulife Singapore has set up a Manulife Scholarship Scheme at Singapore Sports School to help groom budding athletes in Singapore. For the academic year starting in January 2005, four scholarships valued at S$48,000 for a four-year tenure, will be awarded.
