Nominate a beneficiary for a revocable nomination

A revocable nomination allows you to distribute the death benefits of your policy to your intended nominees (beneficiaries).

What you need to know

Under Section 133 of the Insurance Act: 

• A policyowner can make a revocable nomination and continue to retain full rights and ownership of the policy.
• This means the policyowner can change or revoke a nomination at any time without requiring consent from the nominee(s).

Only policyowners who are 18 years old and above may make a revocable nomination.

Instructions

1. Log in to your account via MyManulife or the Manulife SG App.
2. Click on the “Services” tab, followed by "Nomination of beneficiaries“ and select "Make a revocable nomination (Form 4)".
3. Ensure both the policyowner and witnesses (signatories) have Singpass access for electronic signing. Before proceeding with the nomination, review the information provided and confirm your personal information.
4. Select the policies you want to nominate beneficiaries for. You can choose multiple policies.
5. Enter the details of each nominee and indicate their respective share.
6. Provide the details of your witnesses (signatories).
7. Review and confirm your nomination details, then click “Next” to proceed to electronic signing.
8. Click “Sign now” to be redirected to an external website for electronic signature.
9. An access code will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this code to access the eSigning portal.
10.  Read and acknowledge the Declaration, then click “Next”.
11.  For each policy, click “Sign with Singpass”. You will need to scan the Singpass QR code provided on screen.
12.  Once signing is completed, click “Next” to return to MyManulife and submit your request.
13.  Select your preferred authentication method.
14.  Once submitted, your signatories will receive an email to complete their electronic signatures.
